Seminars
Following the success of last year, we will continue to offer two preachers’ workshops. Edward Lobb, director of Cornhill Scotland, will be back to offer a workshop for beginners while we also welcome Andy Gemmill, who trains students in preaching alongside Edward at the Cornhill Course in Glasgow. Andy will provide a more advanced workshop for established preachers.
In addition, Sharon James will continue the helpful series drawing lessons from the lives of preachers from the past who faced similar challenges to ourselves. Sharon will be looking at William Steadman (1764 -1837), a ‘forgotten’ leader of the ‘forgotten revival’. He had an extraordinary ministry in itinerant evangelism, pastoring, and training ministers and there are many valuable lessons for today from his life and ministry.
All this, together with an opportunity for Questions and Answers, the chance to share lunch and encourage each other in our preaching, as well as a preacher-specific bookstall, and we are sure that there will be much in this day to inspire and bless your ministry. As ever, we welcome all those who teach the Word in a wide variety of contexts, from Sunday pulpit to small group Bible studies, so don’t hesitate to sign up, and spread the word to ministry colleagues.
